leadership-01

John Quincy Adams was the sixth President of the United States. Adams served as President from 1825-1829. What I find remarkable is that the ‘more things change, the more things remain the same’. While the world is certainly different today then it was in 1825, the need for love, compassion and leadership, in addition to a host of other ‘human’ needs, remains the same. In this world where we are so connected by technology we have never been so unconnected.

I attempt to lead every day. I lead by example. I lead by explanation and teaching. But more importantly I lead by physically and mentally engaging with people and in the process hope to enrich the lives of others.

At the end of the day Leadership is actually a way of life. We can let our days run us or we can choose to run our days. I choose to RUN! And on that note what follows are a series of published articles that I have written for the Globe & Mail’s Leadership Lab. That said I use the term ‘running’ somewhat tongue and cheek! Life is a journey, it is not a race but rather an amazing dance – sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes in pace and sometimes out of step but always always to our own tune..much like leadership!
